Recording is my favorite way to play music. I love finding the tones, parts, and feel to catch the spirit and vibe of a song. I grew up listening to Nigel Ollson, Don Henley, Simon Kirke, Mick Fleetwood, Bun E. Carlos, etc. and tend to like low, warm, sexy drums and big, thin cymbals.

I have all gear sizes and weights available to create the sound for most any track, from Al Jackson to John Bonham, but my favorite drum is a 60's 5 x 14 Ludwig Supraphonic I call "The Tearmaker". This little snare is truly the saddest drum in Nashville. If you have a song about tragic heartbreak, melancholy memory, or dismal despair, give me a call. I'll bring "The Tearmaker". You bring the tissue.
